Maria Skakun is an abstract expressionist painter and a participant in international exhibitions. The artist lives and works in Paris, France.
She was born in Belarus.
Maria has participated in international exhibitions in France, Poland, and Belarus, and has also held seven solo exhibitions.
Maria has a higher art education, having graduated from the Institute of Contemporary Knowledge in Minsk, and also holds a degree in architecture.
Maria develops a unique visual code based on intuitive lines and an exploration of the subconscious, conveying emotional and psychological states. Through her artistic process, the artist experiences various psychological conditions, from depression to ecstasy, on the canvas, making it a deeply mystical process.
